WHAT IS A GOOD CHAIR?
– PRIVATE, PUBLIC, AND INSTITUTIONAL –
FINISSAGE on February 11, 2016 at 12.00 pm.
Chairs as utility objects are "as close to us every day as few others". This is the conclusion of Werner Löffler, long-term collector of more than 1300 authentic chair individuals.
So it was not surprising that the opening of the exhibition "SITZPUNKTE – What is a good chair? private, public, and institutional" at the Bavarian State Ministry for Finance, State Development, and Homeland in Nuremberg on February 1, 2016 met with a great deal of resonance from the invited guests and the press.
The public will have the opportunity to view this clever collection and presentation of 26 exhibits from the Werner Löffler Collection, completed by the personal plenary chair of State Minister Dr. Söder, until February 12. The finissage in form of an exhibition tour with the curator and architect Dr. Schriefers will take place on February 11, 2016 at 12 pm and give all interested parties the opportunity to learn interesting facts about these unusual sitting objects.
